The aim of the site is to give you an insight into the club and what to expect from the sport of judo. The club was formed in 1987 and has been an integral part of the local community with many young people participating and benefiting from the support giving to them.

Community Team Of The Year 2004
The club is a community-based group managed by a committee in Newburn Village, Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, England. The club operates via a constitution and has an open door policy where all are welcome regardless of ability, disability, gender or ethnic origin. The club strives to promote an ethos of encouragement and endeavours to nurture all those that participate to be the best that they can be as people, so they are a benefit to their own communities.

The club is a member of Judo's National Governing Body, The BJA (British Judo Association) and its club number is 0877. The club is fully insured and operates within the practices and policies of the BJA.
