Fundraising

No Club can survive without having to raise funds - To support the members of the club to take up judo opportunities various means of funding are sought. The club is ran by volunteers for the benefit of the members.

The aim of this section of the site is show what the club does with the funds it raises and shows how you can help support the club. All funds raised are used for the benefit of those participating in judo. The club provides support for those who participate in judo competitions, courses and social activities.

How to Play

The Lottery is really fun to play. Simply select six lucky numbers (between 0-9) to play in our daily game. (4 days a week. Monday - Thursday.) Every day the last digit of the recorded temperature (in Fahrenheit) as reported in the Daily Telegraph for six destinations as detailed below and The Weather Lottery scan all of the entries to see who has won! You can check your numbers via the Weather Lottery web site, through The Daily Telegraph Newspaper. But best of all you do not need to check or claim your cash prize, the system is fully automated and the prizes will be posted directly to you.

The six world destinations are constant and do not change. Your 1st number is always matched against Corfu, your second number is always matched against Istanbul etc.

 

Match 3 numbers and win £2

Match 4 numbers and win £20

Match 5 numbers and win £200

Match 6 numbers and win £10,000

There are two ways to play The Weather Lottery first choose who you would like to support then either click  Play on Line  complete your details and use your debit card or print the application form, fill in your Standing Order details and return it to the Weather Lottery.

The Club also has a webshop which you can purchase items and services from quality companies for no extra charge to you and will make a donation to the club.

The Carphone Warehouse - will donate £30 contract phone sale, £5 pay as you go sale, 10% on accessories and other sales

The Brochure Bank - Will donate 5p for every brochure ordered - It costs nothing to order

 Play.Com  - will donate 2% to club for every purchase you make

The club attend the following events around the country:

British Junior Nationals, Heart Of England, Lakeland Open

The Egg Card - £14.50 contribution to the club when you take a credit card

Laterooms.com - will donate 5% to the club when you book your weekend break via the club shop

 Carsource - will donate 4p to the club every time you search for car - dead easy eh!

Courses

The club also endevours to identify courses which will suit the individuals abilities and requirements in judo:

Coaching, refereeing, contest training and volunteer development courses.

 Marbles Credit Card - A £20 donation to the club for just being accepted!

Consumer Products Survey - 90p donated to the club just for completing a questionairre!

The National Lottery - Yes, even the national lottery will donate 50p to the club when you register online

Social Activities

The club believes that social events are an integral part of the experience of being a member of Newburn  Judo Club. Therefore we try to include as many social activities as possible throughout the year
