The club is offering judoka from around the world an opportunity to visit and train at the club as well as visiting the city of Newcastle and its world famous night life.

What‘s here? Apart from the judo

Six miles or so west of Newcastle city centre situated on the banks on the River Tyne. The village was once a heavily industrialised area where steel making, mining and chemical manufacturing all thrived. There is more of a rural feel to the village these days. The village has some fantastic countryside surrounding it with walks and picturesque views. Newburn is situated only five miles from Newcastle International Airport and has access to an excellent public transport system.

The judo is based in Newburn Activity Centre, which offers a full range of activities. It has traditional local pubs The Keel Man and The Boat House where you can experience some local English hospitality.
